How to check corn on the cob

1. Examine the corn for any obvious signs of infestation.

2. Cook the corn.

3. Inspect the water for insects.

4. If no infestation is found in the water, the corn may be eaten.

5. If there is infestation in the water, the corn should be discarded.

Note: The frozen corn on the cob is not more infested than fresh corn on the cob. However, while the corn is frozen—it is difficult to check for infestation.
