Peppers: How to Check for Bugs

Peppers: Green or Red (Fresh)

Fresh peppers (also known as capsicum) are sometimes infested with insects. Must be checked.

How to check peppers:

1. Cut the pepper in half and check for infestation.
2. Wash the pepper inside and out.

Pepper: Hot (Fresh)

Not infested under normal circumstances.
